The Recycle Depot at the Marshall County Solid Waste Management District in Plymouth will begin offering new hours on Monday, February 1, 2016. The facility will be open early on Monday mornings and add an additional Saturday a month for county residents to recycle and drop off household hazardous waste.
The Depot’s new hours will be:
MONDAY: 7:30AM – 3:30PM
TUESDAY: 8:30AM – 3:30PM
WEDNESDAY: DEPOT CLOSED – NO RECYCLING or HAZMAT DROP-OFF
THURSDAY: 8:30AM – 3:30PM
FRIDAY: 8:30AM – 2:30PM
1ST/3RD SATURDAY: 8AM-NOON
“We hope our new hours will offer more convenience for county residents who want to use our services,” said Marianne Peters, director. The Depot will be closed to the public on Wednesdays for materials processing and shipping, as well as general maintenance.
As usual, the Depot will continue to accept materials that are considered hazardous and inappropriate for landfill disposal, such as televisions, computers and other electronics waste, large and small appliances, mercury-containing devices, batteries, light bulbs, household chemicals and solutions, medical waste (including sharps), and tires. The Depot also offers regular recycling of plastics, metals, paper, and cardboard. All services are for Marshall County residents only.
